# Ho to Install patterns from archive to different PB

I’ve been gone awhile but I’m back. I love the new ability to download a backup of all patterns on a PB. What I can’t figire out is where that backup is stored and how to install it to a different pixelblaze, apparently through an archive. This must be easy, bu I am not getting it.

OK, I can see the backuk.pbb file in my downloads folder; I must have missed it at first. I’m trying to install that backup fro a v3 to a mini. I can open the backupfile.ppb in the restore from backup dialog box, but I am gettingg a error message "inable to read/parse files. I am sure I selected the backupfile ending in .pbb.

If it matters, the VS is showing 420K free space and the mini is showing 554K free space. I am assuming I can go from a v3 to a mini; is that true. Thanks for your help

It’s possible to have more patterns on a v3 standard than will fit in a pico.

The backup file should be used with the restore tool, also located in the settings tab.
