Our family walked the “Christmas tree lane” in San Carlos, CA this year, and nobody was using anything that looked microcontrolled, let alone 'blazed. A couple homes had these meteor shower / shooting star / icicle sticks, so I wanted to experiment with what could be done with a Pixelblaze instead.
One of the great ironies is how amazing 100+FPS APA102s look in-person and how lifeless they look on camera phone video. I first got excited about Pixelblaze at Maker Faire because in-person, you’re just like… “What IS that”?
The code is long. I like adding lots of variation and random()-driven subtle behaviors. I’m always looking to make it more readable, so any feedback is welcome and appreciated.
