Recently tried running the Pixel Lights App, but ran into setup issues and had to restart/remove the app. Since then, the Pixelblaze has been unable to connect to the main network and is not discoverable as an AP, even after holding the button for 5 seconds, and receives power but is not recognized as a device when plugged into a desktop PC. Not sure how to talk to it at this point.
Is there another way to connect to the Pixelblaze and apply an update or restore to original settings, or could it have been bricked somehow during the botched setup?
Connected to a Pro Expander. On the Pixelblaze, the orange led flashes once, then goes steady. The Pro Expander blinks orange, then goes to steady orange and steady green.
No change with lights connected/disconnected, or whether the Pixelblaze is powered via the Expander or via USB.
It sounds like it’s not getting the button signal, otherwise it should be in setup mode. In setup mode, the LED flashes quickly 3 times after the first startup flash.
When you hold the button, try holding it down until the LEDs start flashing. If that’s not working, it might be the button itself.
If the LEDs are still showing patterns, does pressing the button cycle patterns at all?
If the button is broken somehow, it’s also possible to solder some wires to the two pads on the underside of the button and connect an external button, or even just short the signals in a pinch.
