Help on Code for Christmas lights String

Love my pixelblaze. Thank you Ben!

I’d like to simulate Christmas light strings on a tree. I’m not a programmer and would take hours to try and solve something simple.(i tried for a couple hours already) Looking to make the following:

B1=Red
B2=Blue
B3=Green
B4=Purple
B5=Yellow/Orange

Number of pixels per bulb=
Number of pixels between bulbs=
Brightness of all Bulbs=

With those basics I think I can make something that looks very Christmas string like. Everyone’s strips are different so it will take some trial and error to get it as close as possible with our hardware.

Bonus (if anyone is inclined or inspired)
Bulbs have brighter center (simulate incandescent) and give depth and dimension.
Some very slow twinkle affect?

Hi Todd -

I was getting back into my Pixelblaze tonight and decided to take this on as a fun refresher. Check out “Christmas string lights” at
