So, i have an install that flows from right to left in 3 sections, but the middle section is installed left to right (reverse of what i need. Is there a way to map this so that the effects flow together, essentially flipping the middle section to behave properly? I will be using an output expander and 3 of the outputs, one to each section.
The answer is "it depends if you can get your data-in wiring to the correct end of each pixel run. Using the PixelMapper tool in PixelBlaze, the ordering of the pixels can be completely arbitrary, and so this doesn’t impact anything except making sure you have clean data line from your output expander to each data-in start point.
You can use mapping for this.
If you 3 sections have the same amount of pixels, you can even use the “Matrix” preset in the mapper screen of your Pixelblaze and configure it for 3 rows (or columns).
If you have different amounts of pixels on each branch, you can adapt the Matrix code easily.
