I was sent the wrong power supply and plugged it in and I think I fried the LEDs. The controller seems to be working.
I’ve a display at the Winter Lights Fest and really need to fix this quickly:folded_hands:![]()

That is a 12V power supply, so if your LEDs were supposed to use 5V, you might have fried them. Also, the Pixelblaze should be run on 5V, not 12V. Disconnect that power supply, and try connecting just a few LEDs and use the USB input on the Pixelblaze to power it up, to assess what the damage is.
A pixelblaze standard will survive 12v, it won’t run at that but will not fry.
LEDs if 5v will fry. Sometimes you get lucky and only the first one or few LEDs are dead, and the rest of the strip/string can be salvaged.
Ok, they were fried, controllers fine and luckily I had extra LEDs on hand.
But I find myself on need of your wizardly advice again. ![]()
New issue different build.
Somehow I ordered different LEDs than before. I’m trying to use this string on a controller that had a string of the ones where the LEDs are spaced farther apart.
What do I need to do to get these running??
Thank you in advance:folded_hands:![]()

Oh no, sorry to hear that. If it’s any consolation it happens to all of us.
Well for these use 5v for sure! Other than that these are sk9822/apa102 types. The density will draw a little more power but you can adjust max brightness accordingly if you have a limited power budget.
Four wires total, two for power plus clock and data.
If you are using the presoldered Pixelblaze you’ll want to include the adapter in the chain before th first strip. One should have been included.
I have limited stock (can’t really get more of these at a reasonable price with the tariffs), but if I have something in stock more like what you’d ideally want we can do a return/exchange.
