Sewed a stuffed animal fish (purchased the pattern on Etsy), and added translucent 3D printed scales to the side by printing them on fabric and pushing them through laser cut holes in the side pieces. Instead of soft fabric, I used PVC-free faux leather so I could cut the pieces and etch decorative details with a laser cutter. I sewed small string lights behind the scales and stuffed a Pixelblaze and battery pack inside.
