I updated my PB v3 with v3.66. In order to update I had to enable wifi by holding down the button on the PB for a few seconds because that is how I have it configured. The problem I have after the update is the wifi is now enabled at power up. In fact, if I do hold the button and wait for the two flashes, I can’t connect to my PB. The configuration screen has all the expected stuff the same as before the update, including the check next to “disable wifi on startup”. I have to hold the button in order to disable wifi rather than to enable wifi. The orange light works the same, but when full bright wifi is disabled rather than enabled. When half bright wifi is enabled.
Post edit: Please point to how I can revert back to previous version v3.51 firmware. Thanks
Hi @chuck_c,
Thank you for finding this! I indeed missed that when releasing v3.66. I have an update to fix that, now also available for online updates.
If you still want to downgrade, you can do so by downloading the files on an old release post, then using the /recovery tool (just add that to the URL). The previous v3.51 release files can be found here.
Hi @wizard, I just went ahead and updated to v3.67 and all is well now! Thanks very much for your attention and fast solution, especially during the holiday. Great job!
while we’re talking about Wifi, were you able to consider the code I donated to you to default to a local wifi connection and if it fails after 10 or 20 seconds, revert back to becoming an AP?
This allows using a device at home on home wifi, and fall back to connecting to it.
As a reminder, having the device in AP mode is really not great because I have to disconnect to my real wifi (or cell) and lose internet to talk to it, so it should be a last resort, in this case when it can’t connect to the default wifi tha twas configured as first choice.
