Hello all, I’ve been working with PixelBlaze for several years and the WiFi connection is always a challenge. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Very finicky. I have tried PC, Mac and iPhone, as well as my WiFi and a direct device connection. Usually I can get something to work (although not easily) but now I am stumped. I cannot connect to my v3.6 boards at all. Does anyone have advice? I tried to reset the board and now it’s entered the default loop animations and I’ve lost my customized code in the sculpture… which is not ideal to say the least. Thanks in advance for your feedback on a surefire way to fix the problem (and keep the system running long-term or I cannot sell the artworks!)
The button WiFi reset doesn’t erase patterns.
However it is possible to make a snapshot (in advanced settings) and restore form that (holding the button during power on), but I don’t think that is what you did here.
First, I’d remove the PB from LEDs and power it with a good clean power source, computer usb works. Reset to WiFi setup mode by holding the button down for 5 seconds. It will blink 3 times during power on. If WiFi was disabled in settings you may need to hold it twice.
It should make a new WiFi network called Pixelblaze_xxxxxx with some alphanumeric digits. Can you see that?
